Lasagna from homemade lasagna sheets






  Ingredients:

For lasagna sheets:
Maida 1cup
Salt 1/2 tsp
Egg 1 (optional)

For white sause:
Milk 1cup
Chopped garlic 2 tsp
Butter 2 tsp
Maida/flour 1 tbsp
Sweet corn (boiled) 1/4 cup
Chilli flakes+oregano 2 tsp
Cheese 1/4 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp

For red sauce:
Tomatoes (boiled and peeled) 5
Oil 3-4 tbsp
Chopped garlic 2 tsp
Chopped onion 1
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli powder 1 tsp
Pizza masala 1/2 Tsp
Sugar 1/2 Tsp
Tomato ketchup 1/4 cup

For vegetable stuffing:
Oil 4 tbsp
Garlic 2 tsp
Below chopped veggies
onion 1
Tomato 1/2
Mushroom 1 cup
Green + Red capsicum 1cup
Sweet corn 1 cup
Red chilli powder 1-2 tsp
Cumin coriander powder 1tbsp
Salt 1 tsp

Procedure:

 For making lasagna sheets:
  1. Take 1 cup maida and add 1 egg (optional) ,salt mix it and knead using water into a medium consistency dough and refrigerate for 15 min.
  2. After 15 minutes knead the dough and roll out chapati and cut into rectangular lasagna sheets. Sprinky some maida and let the sheets dry for 1/2 hour
  3. After 1/2 hour boil sheets and keep them on strainer dry them and use in making lasagna.
For making white sauce:
  1. Now take a hot pan add 2 tsp butter then add chopped garlic roast it then add 2 tsp maida saute till brown then add 1 cup milk let it boil then add 1/4 cup cheese,2 tsp chilli flakes+oregano,1/4 cup sweet corn mix it thoroughly switch off the gas and then add 1/2 tsp salt (as cheese is already salty)
  2. Take it out in a bowl for later use
For making red sauce:
  1. Boil 5 tomatoes in cooker till 2-3 whistles then peel them and grind into puree.
  2. Now in a hot pan add oil 3-4 tbsp oil,2 tsp garlic,1 chopped onion,1/2 tsp turmeric,1 tsp red chilli powder,1/2 tsp pizza masala,tomato puree,1/2 tsp salt,1/2 tsp Sugar,1/4 cup tomato ketchup,some pizza masala again. Let it boil till raw smell of tomato goes.
  3. Now take it out in another bowl for later use.
Now Preheat oven at 150 degree for 20 minutes

For making vegetable stuffing:
  1. Pour 4 tbsp oil in a hot pan add 2 tsp chopped garlic ,1 chopped onion,1/4 cup tomato sauce,1cup mushroom,1 cup red and green capsicum,1cup sweetcorn,1tsp salt,1-2 two red chilli powder,1tbsp cumin coriander powder saute all nicely until all water drains off from veggies but don't overcook.
For making lasagna:

Its time to assemble all things in baking tray and bake the lasagna.
  1. Grease the baking tray with butter then add following layers :
  2. First layer- cooked lasagna sheets over it  Second layer of white sauce and third layer of red sauce spread evenly with spoon then fourth layer of vegetable stuffing then fifth layer of grated cheese sprinkle some pizza masala over it and some pepper then again lasagna sheets keep on repeating the layers until you reach the edge of baking tin now the top layer would be of grated cheese.( I had few chicken sausages so I added them at top it's optional).
  3. Now bake at 140 degree for 20 minutes (depends on your oven you can increase or decrease the temperature).
  4. Now enjoy the yummy homemade lasagna.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Tip:   while making white sauce always add salt after you switch off the gas as adding salt before might spoil the milk and as we are adding cheese in white sauce which already contains salt so add salt a little less.
